What are your office hours?
Our customer and technical support are open from 9 am to 5 pm Monday through Friday, Mountain Standard Time. For technical support after hours please email inquiries@myunitysecurity.com
Our central monitoring station is open 24/7 to keep your family and loved ones secure 365 days per year.
Where are you located?
We have service/installation operations set up all over Canada, call now to see if we service your area to 587 635 1140. Our head office address is 10050 112th St Suite 904 Edmonton, AB, T5K 2J1.
What happens if I move?
Yes, we offer removal, transport and re-installation services to all our customers. If the moving is within the first year the cost is $200.00, after a year of monitoring the moving service is free. We advice you to provide 14 days notice to avoid any service interruptions.
Can the new homeowners keep the system?
Yes. The new homeowner can keep the account with your authorization.
Does my system come with a warranty?
Yes, all of our equipment is fully guaranteed, after 120 days of the installation a flat fee of $50.00 will apply for each service.
Do I receive a discount on my homeowners’ insurance?
Yes you do. Most insurance companies will give a significant deduction for homeowners who own a verified security system monitored 24/7 365 days per year. Please inquire with your insurance company for the exact amount of savings you will benefit from. Unity Smart Security will provide you with an insurance savings certificate at the moment of the installation. If you require additional certificates, please contact us at our offices or via email.
I want to cancel my agreement.
You are able to cancel your agreement for any reason within 10 days after you sign your agreement.
Will my monthly rate increase?
Absolutely not. Our packages are priced protected and will never increase.
Who do I call in case of a false alarm?
Our monitoring provider is BRINKS HOME SECURITY and they can be reached at 1 (800) 447-9239. In case of a false alarm occurring, you will be able to speak to a professional agent through the Honeywell Pro Series panel 2-way voice capability and clarify the false alarm.
You can also call +1-833-274-6571 to report a false alarm.
Someone knocked on my door, does Unity Smart Security have any security consultants in our area?
We do service many areas and have security consultants working in many communities. Every Unity Smart Security consultant will be wearing their uniform and will be wearing an official company ID badge with a verification number that can be checked on our website call us at 587-635-1140 or contact us via email at inquiries@myunitysecurity.com
Do I need a permit for my alarm system?
Some cities require for you to register your alarm system. Other cities will not require it. Registration fees and requirement vary from city to city. Please visit your local municipal website or our Permits page for more information.
My system is having issues, what can I do?
